This is a 12 week pelvic health clinical mentorship lead by ✨ yours truly ✨
Hayley Kava PT, MPT PRC.
This program is based on a multi-system
that you can use to confidently treat ANY pelvic floor symptom/diagnosis that walks in your office.
No quick tips or tricks here friends. I want you to truly
behind every choice you make with your clients.
How to assess globally from head to toe, progress, regress, and when to call upon the other tools in your toolbox.
This program is for Pelvic Floor Therapists/Professionals that feel like they have taken
But STILL feel like you aren't totally sure how to put it all together.
Like you've gained so, many
to keep them all straight or know when to apply, progress or regress your choices.
OR
You might already think globally using something like PRI, FRC, or IFS as your framework
You know there are big important connections throughout the body. You LOVE this population, you know it's your passion, but you get a little nervous when it comes to more "challenging" pelvic health diagnoses like vaginismus or pelvic organ prolapse or pregnant clients
Whether you are a pelvic newbie or seasoned pro you are going to build your skills into a system that allows you to repeatably and reliably manage ANY client you face (in person, or virtually) with CONFIDENCE.
Well. It's really the integration of MANY systems.
AND MORE...All of them.
This program will be divided into three phases over the 12 weeks.
FIRST
It's an assessment PROCESS of the WHOLE PERSON that gives us a window of insights into WHY someones pelvic floor may be responding the way it is.
Through this process we learn all about normal and compensatory patterns of asymmetry. Starting at the nervous and cardio respiratory system we can start to understand the impact these patterns have on our entire musculoskeletal system: neck, thorax, spine, pelvis, hip and down into the legs, feet... AND the pelvic floor muscles.
NEXT
We will also learn the impact that these patterns has on our pelvic health specific systems like:
The gastro-intestinal /urologic systems - think constipation, diarrhea, frequency, urgency, leaking
The circulatory system - think hemorrhoids/vulvar varicosities/varicose veins as well as erectile/sexual function in penis and vagina owners
The gynecological system - pelvic organ prolapse, endometriosis
and MORE
THEN
We will learn to build treatment programs and that are accessible to patients, that create long term lasting real CHANGE in clients bodies -that we can OBJECTIVELY test, retest progress and regress appropriately.
This will include 100's of exercise videos and descriptions.
We will also add loads of manual skills to your arsenal that don't involve seeking and destroying trigger points, mindless releasing of muscles or loads of time.
I am a Postural Restoration Certified ™ Physical Therapist and so how I approach clients with pelvic floor dysfunction often takes a Postural Restoration ® (PRI) lens.
The introductory PRI courses are all incredibly valuable and I recommend them to all pelvic health providers but they are NOT a prerequisite for this mentorship program.
This mentorship group will work in THREE BLOCKS of FOUR WEEKS each.
Each BLOCK will include:
You will also have access to the NEW Mentorship Community which will allow you to interact with me, with past and current members and build your network of epic pelvic health pros across the country/world
APRIL 1- 30
Block 1 is our ASSESSMENT BLOCK
In this block we will FIRST understand the anatomy and physiology that impacts out clients including normal and compensatory asymmetry
You will then learn and feel confident in the the PROCESS of the WHOLE PERSON ASSESSMENT
AND a WHOLE PERSON PELVIC FLOOR ASSESSMENT
that provides us clear insights into WHY someones body and pelvic floor may be responding the way it is.
May 1-31
Block 2 is the APPLICATION BLOCK
Really diving into SPECIFIC pelvic floor considerations like bowel, bladder, sexual function as well as specific conditions like prolapse, pregnancy, post-partum, hernias, or whatever is landing on your case load!
What do our assessment findings mean for these different conditions, how can we tailor patient education and guidance with a whole body minded framework
June 1-30
Block 3 is the GROWTH BLOCK
We will learn to CONFIDENTLY build treatment programs and that are accessible to patients, that create long term lasting real CHANGE in clients bodies -that we can OBJECTIVELY test, retest progress and regress appropriately.
This will include 100's of exercise videos and descriptions.
We will also add loads of manual skills to your arsenal that don't involve seeking and destroying trigger points, mindless releasing of muscles
* while we will discuss internal techniques and tools, providers who do not or cannot preform vaginal or rectal exams will still be able to benefit from the information provided
""Hayley is inspiring, incredibly motivating and relentless in her pursuit of helping others challenge traditional concepts that have long been accepted as the "status quo" of pelvic health rehabilitation. The application of the concepts that I learned in her mentorship program have completely revolutionized my approach to patient care. Since completing her program, I have gotten some of the best patient outcomes and feedback of my 12 year career. I truly believe that when we know better, we do better. I have no doubt that after completing her program you will feel more capable, confident and motivated to help this incredibly unique patient population that we are so privileged to treat" "
"Working with Hayley has been absolutely amazing and has completely changed the way I practice. Hayley is not only incredibly knowledgeable but funny, down to earth, and relatable. I feel so much more confident working with my patients because I have a better understanding of why a person is having their pelvic floor symptoms. I also now have great ways to help my patients achieve their goals. Hayley utilizes a Postural Restoration framework to help you learn how to globally assess a patient, what those assessment findings indicate, and then how to treat them. Postural Restoration concepts can be challenging to understand but Hayley presented them in an easily digestible way. I’ve taken a lot of pelvic health courses and have frequently left them feeling like I was given all of this "what" type of information but not the "why" or the "how". Hayley has helped bridge that gap for me. I highly recommend her mentorship program for any clinician working in the pelvic health field! You will not regret it! "
"I participated in Hayleys pelvic health professional mentoring program in October 2021. It was excellent! I really appreciated the anatomy review of all of the muscles that attach to the pelvis outside of the pelvic floor. It was so important to remember those large muscles and how they influence what the pelvis and the pelvic floor are doing. Other things we discussed were alignment and the importance of rib and thoracic mobility, breathing and diaphragm function, pelvic floor dysfunction inside an asymmetrical body, and diastasis recti. I learned some new assessment tools and treatment strategies that will be really helpful for my prenatal and postpartum population. I would highly recommend this mentoring group to anyone in the pelvic health field!"
"I am amazed at how much a difference it has made in my clinical decision-making and client outcomes just to have that confidence in pelvic floor concepts and cues! Ever since taking the course I have had an influx of pelvic floor clients. Some who knew that was their issue and some that didn't! I must say "Thank you Hayley" like 5 times a day! "
"I took Hayley’s mentorship program in April 2022 and it was one of the best things I could have done to progress my clinical skills as a pelvic floor PT. I felt I hit a plateau with treatment. I reached out to Hayley and she was so encouraging, supportive and passionate herself I knew that her mentorship could offer what I needed. What she teaches about the body and about the pelvic floor is different than anything I’ve really ever learned. It has changed my clinical practice and has improved my confidence in my skills. And not only is she an amazing clinical mentor she also gave me much needed guidance in starting my own PT business. This mentorship also allowed me to meet many other amazing clinicians and be a part of a pelvic PT community. I am so grateful I had this opportunity and will continue to grow into a better PT because if it."
